Prayer of the week

The field looks hard and bare, but even now the seed grows beneath the ground. The land is parched and barren, but even now a cloud makes its way over the horizon. The tomb is sealed, but even now new life is breaking the bonds of death. Lord of creation and resurrection, you bring life where there was none, turn the desert into a garden and overwhelm death, bring food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, peace to the troubled and joy to the hearts of men, women and children throughout the earth. May the heavens burst forth in praise of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.......Peter Hancock, Northampton District Chair

Welcome to the York and Hull Methodist District Website

You may have arrived here because you are searching for something about our District or you may have landed here by chance. We hope that the information in these pages is of interest, giving as it does a snapshot of some of our activities and relationships. However, it cannot be as good as actually visiting the area and seeing for yourself this beautiful part of God’s world, and catching a glimpse of the work of Methodists here, witnessing alongside other Christians locally and throughout the world.
